Crisis Type is a coded experimental typography project about climate change and global warming. I created a custom typographic system where words are not only written, but visually transformed based on their meaning. After sketching the initial forms in Illustrator, I coded a custom font-like system that reacts to climate-related words such as crisis, global warming, planet, and carbon dioxide.

The project explores how typography can become more than a readable message. Letters stretch, overlap, rotate, scatter, and break apart to reflect the visual tension of environmental crisis. By turning language into unstable forms, the project communicates the urgency, pressure, and chaos of climate change through type itself.
